Fresh-made appams in traditional cast-iron skillets - not like many places today which use non-stick pans. We like it that they do not add too much sugar to the coconut milk and appams, so the natural taste comes through. Restaurant itself is very simple. Seems a little old; and could get quite hot in the afternoon, I think. Morning is pleasant enough.

Recommended place for a family dinner. The varieties of appam is a must here and despite that the other dishes are very recommended as well. The pricing is also very reasonable and cheap for the dish they serving.

The restaurant is located at second floor by walking up using the staircase. Love the apam & the taste, the price is reasonable with big portion! Will be back to try other food. P/s: Parking can be challenging here.

Very established and famous appam place that has its roots near CIMB Bangsar Lucky Garden. It then moved to that stretch of hawkers (old location of Anuar's Curry Fish Head) and operated there for 15 years before moving to this current premises (above TMC) after DBKL earmarked that stretch for redevelopment. It has been operating here for more than three years since then. Another Indian restaurant, Chelliah's Kitchen that sells claypot dishes, shares this premises with Mohan's. The place was filled with aromatic curry as the claypots were being served. Temptation! Perhaps another day. Ordered one coconut and brown sugar appam @ RM3.50. Freshly made on the spot - crispy sides circumference a soft fluffy coconut milk core interspersed with fragrant brown sugar. Makes for a superb dessert suitable for snacking on anytime of the day! Menu has an extensive appam selection that comes in seventeen variants with price ranging from RM2.30 to RM4.00. Mohan accepts and does a lot of catering. On the day of my visit, he was busy grating lots of coconuts to press fresh coconut milk to make appam for his catering order. Business Hours: Daily 830am-930am Closed on Mondays PS: I started actively doing Google Maps reviews in September 2024. If you find my review useful, do like and share it. And do follow me to see my other reviews and photographs. Retiree reviewer appreciates whatever motivation I can receive to spur me on.

Located upstairs at a very retro food shop, the appam, doused in coconut milk is incredible. Soft and gooey at the centre, crispy on the side. Love the sweet plain one. The brown sugar one I find a tad too sweet. The banana one is lovely too. Drinks here are expensive
